A fit and healthy workforce is key to an organisation’s performance, and each year millions of working days are lost to stress-related illnesses. Stress, depression or anxiety accounts for 44% of all work-related ill health cases and 54% of all working days lost due to ill health (HSE 2018/19).
Effects of stress in the workplace:
-
Low morale
-
Tiredness and irritability
-
Reduced physical performance
-
Lowered immune system, leading to the development of more physical illnesses
-
Reduced creativity and productivity

By introducing a Wellbeing at Work service, it gives staff an opportunity to experience holistic therapies which may reduce stress, boost effectiveness and improve general wellbeing.

how does it work?
-
Treatments can be paid in full by each employee, in full by the employer or the employer can subsidise the employee, so costs are shared.
-
Treatments take place in the company office, a small quiet room. The practitioner brings a special chair and all necessary equipment.
-
Treatments can last between 15 and 60 minutes depending on the time-scale available.
-
The frequency of visits will be agreed with the company but ideally should be weekly or fortnightly and the company should ensure sessions are promoted internally.
-
Referrals and bookings can be made direct through the company or on an individual basis.
